Chama, New Mexico
is a charming Old West town of approximately 1250 residents, located just south of the Colorado border in the beautiful San Juan Mountains. It is located on Highway 84, approximately 60 miles north of Santa Fe. The village sits at the base of the 10,015-foot Cumbres Pass in the San Juan Mountains and is bordered by three wilderness areas; the Rio Grande, Carson and Santa Fe National Forests. Due to the remote nature and small size of the town, there are not a lot of apartments located in Chama.
